23-Yr-Previous Indonesian Faces Six Years Jail For Posting Tiktok Clip Denigrating Palestine

Jakarta: A 23-year-old janitor in Indonesia, the world’s largest Muslim-majority nation, is going through a most six years in jail for violating a cyber regulation as he posted a video on social media platform Tiktok allegedly calling for the “slaughter” of Palestinian “pigs”.

The rights activists have criticized the 2008 digital info and transactions (ITE) regulation stating its broad interpretation permits it for use to silence dissent, goal authorities opponents and curtail free speech.
