New Delhi: The Union Finance Ministry has summoned Infosys MD and CEO Salil Parekh on Monday to clarify the persevering with glitches within the new earnings tax e-filing portal.
The Revenue Tax division stated Parekh has been summoned to clarify as to why glitches haven’t been resolved even after 2.5 months since launch of recent e-filing portal.

“Ministry of Finance has summoned Sh Salil Parekh, MD&CEO @Infosys on 23/08/2021 to explain to hon’ble FM as to why even after 2.5 months since launch of new e-filing portal, glitches in the portal have not been resolved. In fact, since 21/08/2021 the portal itself is not available,” Revenue Tax India tweeted.
Expressing concern over the difficulty, Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman had earlier in June requested Infosys to repair all points on the brand new Revenue Tax portal instantly
The brand new e-filing portal (http://www.incometax.gov.in) was launched on June 7.
