New Delhi: Glenn Maxwell has declared Australia as a robust contender for the upcoming T20I World Cup which is to be performed in October-November this 12 months.
Maxwell says the Australian staff is “good enough for the World Cup”. The batting all-rounder has returned to the Australian squad for the T20 World Cup after a hiatus.
He mentioned: “I think they are quite good. I think we’ll be in a better position when the team comes together. We’re ready for it.”
It has been almost eight months since Steven Smith, David Warner, and Pat Cummins have performed for Australia. Whereas Maxwell, Marcus Stoinis, and Kane Richardson have additionally not performed for the staff for the final six months.
