Pakistan Requests India To Reopen Kartarpur Hall For Guru Nanak Dev’s Anniversary

New Delhi: In wake of the upcoming Guru Nanak Dev’s beginning anniversary, Pakistan on Tuesday requested India to reopen the Kartarpur Hall from its aspect and permit Sikh pilgrims to pay a go to to the holy web site of Gurdwara Kartarpur Sahib, PTI reported. 

On the eve of the 550th beginning anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev, Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan had inaugurated the Kartarpur Hall, as per the Overseas Workplace. Nevertheless, months after the opening of the Kartarpur Hall, a coronavirus pandemic hit the area thus resulting in the closing of the hall.

Since March 2020, the second of Sikh pilgrims to Pakistan through hall has been suspended in view of the pandemic, and later Pakistan put a journey ban from folks travelling from India after the surge within the covid-19 instances was reported in April 2021.

“India is yet to open the corridor from its side and allow pilgrims to visit Kartarpur Sahib,” an announcement of the Overseas Workplace was quoted by PTI in its report. 

Pakistan is wanting ahead to internet hosting devotees from India and all over the world on the event of Guru Nanak Dev’s Birthday celebrations from November 17 to 27, 2021, the Overseas Workplace stated.

“Pakistan expects that India in the spirit of cooperation would allow pilgrims to travel through the corridor to visit Kartarpur Sahib,” the assertion additional reads.

Throughout his go to to Kartarpur Sahib in February 2020, United Nations Secretary-Basic Antonio Guterres described the Kartarpur Hall as ‘Hall of Hope.’
